Should My Plumbing Fixtures Be Inspected?
Bradbury Brothers can help diagnosis plumbing problems before they start with plumbing inspections for your home and business. Whether it’s a water heater, bathroom or kitchen fixture you should have your plumbing systems inspected on a regular basis to help avoid issues and detect them before they happen. One of the key components to your plumbing’s efficiency and longevity is maintenance of your plumbing system.
What plumbing fixtures in my home or business should be inspected before they get out of hand and become larger issues?
- Tank and Tankless Water Heaters
- Your Water Supply
- Sinks, Tubs, Showers and Toilets
- Washing Machine Hoses
- Your Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV)
- Outdoor Hose Spigots
- Main Drain Lines
- Main Water Shutoff Valve (do you know where it’s located?)
To help safeguard against any unforeseen problems, reduce wasted water, and provide a safe environment—have your home or business plumbing systems inspected on a regular basis.
Inspectors examine pipes, fixtures, and connections for leaks, corrosion, or damage. They check water pressure, inspect drains for blockages, and evaluate the water heater’s performance. Additionally, inspectors may assess the condition of sewage systems, sump pumps, and water supply lines. A comprehensive plumbing inspection helps identify and address any existing problems or potential concerns, ensuring the overall efficiency and reliability of the plumbing system.
A plumbing rough-in inspection occurs during the initial construction phase before walls are closed up. It involves a thorough examination of the plumbing system’s foundational elements, such as pipes, drains, and vents, to ensure compliance with local building codes. The inspector checks the layout, sizing, and proper placement of plumbing components. Issues like leaks, improper connections, or code violations are addressed. Successful completion of a rough-in inspection allows for the continuation of construction, ensuring that the plumbing infrastructure meets safety and regulatory standards.
It’s advisable to have your plumbing system inspected annually to prevent potential issues and maintain optimal functionality. Regular inspections can identify minor problems before they escalate into major repairs, ensuring the longevity of your plumbing infrastructure. Additionally, if you notice signs of plumbing issues, such as leaks, low water pressure, or strange noises, it’s wise to schedule an inspection promptly. Timely assessments help address concerns and contribute to a more efficient and trouble-free plumbing system in the long run.
