Why is my AC unit running but not cooling my Cypress home?

Several factors can cause an AC unit to run without effectively cooling your home.

  • It could be due to a clogged air filter, restricting airflow, or low refrigerant levels, hindering the cooling process.
  • Another possible issue may be a malfunctioning compressor or condenser, preventing the AC from removing heat effectively.
  • Inadequate insulation or leaky ducts can also lead to cooling loss.
  • Electrical problems, such as a faulty thermostat or capacitor, may be the culprit.

It’s essential to address these issues promptly by consulting a professional HVAC technician to diagnose and resolve the specific problem causing the cooling inefficiency.

Is it better to repair or replace an AC unit in Cypress?

The decision to repair or replace an air conditioner is influenced by several criteria, including the age of the machine, the amount of damage, and overall efficiency.

  • Repairing your air conditioner is usually cost-effective if it is relatively recent and the repair is small.
  • However, if the unit is old and in need of regular repairs, replacing it may be more cost-effective in the long run because modern versions are more energy-efficient and dependable.

Consider the expense of repairs in comparison to the cost of a new, energy-efficient unit, as well as the possible savings on utility bills with a newer model. An HVAC professional can assist you in making an informed decision depending on your scenario.

When it comes to maintaining your air conditioning system, you should never take chances on air conditioning companies that won’t deliver on service. How much does it cost to install a water heater in Cypress?

On average, you should expect to pay around $1,500 – $7,500 to replace a water heater near Cypress TX.

The price can vary due to:

  • The size of the water heater you want installed.
  • The type of water heater you want installed. Tankless water heaters will cost more.
  • The cost to remove the old water heater and install the new one.

What is the life expectancy of a water heater in Cypress?

The life expectancy of a water heater typically ranges from 8 to 15 years.

The actual lifespan depends on factors like the type and quality of the unit, maintenance, and local water conditions. Tankless water heaters tend to have a longer lifespan, often exceeding 20 years, while traditional tank-style heaters usually last around a decade. Regular maintenance, such as flushing the tank and checking for signs of corrosion, can help extend a water heater’s life. It’s essential to monitor your unit’s performance and consider replacement when it nears the end of its expected lifespan to prevent sudden failures and potential water damage.

First off, Jeromy was great and answered all of my questions. He was polite and courteous and patient. He tried helping out as much as he could- he was only doing what he was told to do and I understand that. However, I have an ac unit about 2 years old, the parts are under warranty for 5 years. I was told by my home builder that I would not have to pay for parts as they are covered by the manufacturer. Basically Bradbury brothers takes the part to the manufacturer and gets paid for the part. After taking a day off of work, having your technician come out and clarifying how this all should work between Beazer homes. I was told that they could not fix my AC until the following afternoon, they could not use their parts. I had someone available from the manufacturer that could verify the warranty on the parts- but they refused to help. Beazer homes suggested that Bradbury brothers could put one of their parts on to help out my family for one day, once they get the part, they could switch it out however they needed. ( the technician had to come out the next day anyway and said it would 30 minutes to put it on). After having the technician call to ask- Bradbury brothers refused. I’m left in my home with my 2 kids miserable without sufficient AC and 100 degree heat index outside. I will never use this company ever again, I will post this same exact review on my neighborhood Facebook page which also includes 2 other adjoining subdivisions, and along with any other review sites this company relies on. This wouldn’t have costs Bradbury brothers a single dime, no one was asking for discounts, or comps... just to help out my family and get the part installed a day earlier since the technician was right there to do the job. They don’t care about their customers or believe in just going the extra mile for anyone , they wouldn’t make an exception and just had their technician say sorry and leave. All they care about is how much money they can collect at the time. If it’s not worth it.. who cares. Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. The only reason I have to have them come back out to install the part, is because I cannot afford to pay another service fee for a different AC company. Until then, my family will be in a home that’s currently 90 degrees inside. I’m appalled and Bradbury brothers should feel Ashamed.

Came out today to see what was wrong with both of the toilets in the home. When we got there we quickly realized both the flappers were leaking through causing the fill valves to slowly run which would make a wailing noise. We told Elizabeth over the phone what was needed to be fixed and she gave the approval and the toilets are not running anymore. Also left a quote for a water softener since the high level of Chlorine Is causing the plumbing to start to prematurely ware out. Elizabeth paid with her credit card and we sent her the receipt via email. No more follow up at this time .

Bradbury Brothers installed a new system for me in 2015. During a 2018 tune-up, the technician noted the refrigerant was low and added some per the 2018 invoice. Wanting to address any refrigerant leak issue before my parts and labor warranty expires in 2020, I set up an appointment for today to see if there was a slow leak, and to get an external temperature sensor error fixed. There was very poor communication between the dispatcher and technician because the technician knew nothing of my primary concern about the leaking refrigerant and thought the only issue was the temp sensor. There was also poor communication between technicians with our account because the tech today incorrectly said there was nothing in prior invoices about the added refrigerant. While no leak was found in the evap or cond coils today, I'm still puzzled why refrigerant previously needed to be added. Because the refrigerant issue wasn't communicated and today was too cool for a pressure test per the technician, I will need to schedule another appointment to find out where a leak in the system may be. I'm extremely disappointed in these communication failures.
